Thrifting is a great way to help the environment, save money, and have fun. Over the past couple of years I have gotten really into thrifting. Now I thrift more than I shop at regular clothing stores. I wanted to share a few tips on how to make your thrift experience better!
1. CHECK EVERY AISLE AND SIZE SECTION
I have actually found a lot of my favourite pieces in aisles I wouldn’t normally go down or larger or smaller size sections than my own. Sometimes items get thrown in the wrong sections but you’ll also be surprised that even though something may be labelled ‘large’ and you’re a small for example it might still fit you!
2. GO ON 50% OFF DAYS
You’d be surprised how often thrift stores have sales! I encourage you to sign up for their newsletters/email list so you’ll always know of upcoming sales.

3. PUT IN TIME
Don’t go to the thrift store and expect to find great stuff within the first few minutes of being there. If you want to become a good thrifter you have to put aside (honestly) a couple of hours.
4. GIVE EVERY ITEM A CHANCE
Go to the change rooms and try every piece on. This ALWAYS happens to me: the items I pick up that i’m most excited about end up looking awful on me whereas the items I wasn’t too sure about end up being the ones I take home.
